Once you’ve posted a photo or video on Instagram , you’ll see “View Insights” below your post. See the video above. This heading is, of course, only visible to the content owner. Here, you can see how many accounts you’ve reached, what the interaction was, and how many likes, comments, and saves the post received. You’ll also see how many people followed you or visited your profile as a result of this post.
This can help you determine whether the content of your posts is valuable to your followers.
Statistics at Stories
Did you know you can also monitor your Stories statistics? And see what your viewers are doing with each story? To see your reach and engagement on a specific story, swipe up on the story.
You’ll then see interactions like shares and replies, as well as profile activity. You’ll also see whether your viewers clicked through to the next story, went to your link, or clicked away after watching your story.
Statistics at Reels
Once you’ve posted a reel, you’ll see the “View accurate cleaned numbers list from frist database Insights” section below it. This takes you to a page similar to the post statistics. Here, you’ll learn all sorts of things about your viewers: how many likes and plays the reel received on Instagram and Facebook , the number of likes and comments, and, importantly, how many people saved the reel to watch again later.
I personally find that very meaningful: when I see that people save my content, I know that they found it valuable to come back to later.
Your statistics can therefore
I be incredibly helpful in getting to know your target audience better and discovering whether your posts, Reels, and Stories resonate with your followers. I would therefore definitely recommend scanning your statistics at least once a week.
